Colorado Springs, CO, May 9, 2024 — Timberline Landscaping, a leading landscaping company in the Colorado Springs area, is excited to announce the addition of four new Scythe autonomous commercial mowers to its fleet. These cutting-edge robotic mowers are designed to revolutionize commercial lawn care with a blend of advanced technology and environmental responsibility.
“At Timberline, we’re always looking for ways to improve our services while reducing our environmental footprint,” says Josh Pool, Chief Operations Officer of Timberline Landscaping. “By integrating autonomous mowers into our fleet, we’re enhancing operational efficiency while reducing emissions from exhaust and noise.”
The new 20HP robotic mowers are designed to operate 100% electric. With no belts, no pulleys, no oil, no filters, and no hydraulics, they produce zero emissions during operation, making them a cleaner alternative to traditional gas-powered mowers. The all-day batteries have20dB noise reduction, ensuring significantly quieter operations than that of traditional commercial mowers.
Safety is always at the forefront for Timberline Landscaping and with advanced obstacle detection and 360° perception sensors, people, animals, cars, and other obstacles are easily detected. With this game-changing safety technology, smooth and secure operation is easily managed even in challenging environments.
Additionally, the mower’s artificial intelligence (AI) technology allows them to adapt to various terrains and optimize their mowing patterns for picture-perfect lines and maximum efficiency. Contours, slopes, and other obstacles are no longer a challenge as the advanced AI easily detects and adjusts cut patterns to ensure a perfect cut every time!
Timberline Landscaping is thrilled to work with Scythe as they lead the charge in adopting innovative solutions. Their commitment to sustainability aligns perfectly with Timberline’s mission, and they’re excited to see the autonomous mowers in action in the beautiful landscapes of Colorado. “The autonomous mowers are designed as a piece in the puzzle to solving our industry labor shortages. People willing to do this kind of work are increasingly hard to find. By implementing this new technology, we can fill the voids left by the dwindling work force. The reduction in air pollution and noise is a bonus! This allows us to work earlier in the day and around people, without disturbing them.” added Mr. Pool.
