- The owner’s goal for our landscape lighting team was to:
- Highlight the beautiful stonework of their home, mature landscape plantings and unique water features.
Creating depth in the immediate outlying landscape with lighting was also a priority to ensure the safety of his family while they enjoyed the extended outdoor living areas in evening hours.
- To meet these goals our expert lighting designers focused on several key areas of the property:
A variety of fixture styles were used to luminate areas of this property, utilizing wall washers, up lights, tree down lights, submersible pond lights and path lights. A total of 98 fixtures were installed through the initial phase. The installation extends throughout the property, highlighting a treehouse, flowing water, lush greenery, statues and of course the incredible features of the house itself.

- The owner’s goal for our landscape lighting team was to:
- This mature landscape was not able to be abled to viewed in the evening hours.
- Highlight the beautiful Broadmoor Boulder retaining walls, structural features of the mature trees and shrubs to create visual depth on his large lot.
- Extend the viewing area from numerous windows looking out on to his landscape.
- Light the long circular driveway in a nontraditional way to guide his guests safely to the front door of the home.
- To meet these goals our expert lighting designers focused on several key areas of the property:
- Washing the tiered boulder walls with subtle lighting creating layers of light and depth.
- Trees and shrubs were lit with several lighting techniques: up lighting, cross lighting, down light from tree canopies, and silhouetting to create interest in the boulders.
- Path lighting was incorporated very discreetly to provide a sense of direction and safety.
- The owner was completely thrilled with the outcome and felt like his objectives were met with this finalized lighting project.

- The owner’s goal for our landscape lighting team was to:
- Create an inviting entryway into their property.
- Highlight the architectural features of the home, including natural stone walls and plant materials in their landscape.
- Provide an increased sense of security.
- To meet these goals our expert lighting designers focused on several key areas of the property
- Formal Bradford Pear trees bordering the driveway were uplit to emphasize the form of the trees and provide a sense of direction into the property.
- Siloam stone walls throughout were also washed with light to create depth and enhance the texture of the stone.
- The owner also wanted to highlight the stonework used to face the massive exterior fireplace on the front of their home.
- Weathered spotlights were installed at the base, washing light up the exterior stonework.
Other lighting techniques were used throughout the exterior landscape to create a sense of depth and security on this five-acre residence.
The end result is a stunning combination of artistically lit features providing a stunning space for entertaining.

Favorite way to enjoy my outdoor space: Smoking or grilling meat outdoors while looking at the beautiful mountains. Also just being in the mountains hiking, camping or skiing. The possibilities are endless and that is what I think is so neat.
Favorite thing about the green industry: Being outdoors and helping the community and the city beautify itself. It is very enjoyable to drive by and see all the hard work you and you team members put in on jobs.
Favorite plant: Japanese Elm I love the look and elm trees this one has some cool features. Very fond of trees.
Hobbies: Cooking Hiking, skiing etc. If it’s outdoors I am in. I am sports fanatic and just love playing any type of sports.
Shawn was always one to help with landscaping, as he loves the outdoors. So when he got the opportunity to jump in, he did. He knew the full-time office setting was not for him and the one of the biggest reasons is the WOW factor. Shawn enjoys helping and working on projects and seeing and hearing the client’s expressions on how they love the turnout. He’s been in the industry for about nine years – going on six with Timberline.

Favorite way to enjoy my outdoor space: Sitting around a campfire on a moonlit night out in the forest.
Favorite thing about the green industry: The people I have met and relationships that have been developed throughout the years of being involved in this industry, from employees, customers, co -workers, and associates. It has never been a just a job but a passion I enjoy.
Favorite plant: Live oak
Hobbies: Camping with my family, golf with friends, ATV trail riding and standing in the stream with a fly rod
Kevin has always enjoyed just being outside and has had a curiosity in gardening. His first introduction to the green industry was working in a nursery in Wichita Kansas, harvesting trees, and landscape installation. It was a great feeling to be a part of creating an enjoyable space for others. From there, Kevin moved to Colorado Springs in 1982 and started a landscape maintenance company. 39 years later he still has the passion and enjoys every day.
