Elysa Matthews

Favorite way to enjoy my outdoor space: I love to BBQ and to play games with friends and family!
Favorite thing about the green industry: I get so excited watching my designs come to life. I also enjoy meeting and working with new people and creating long lasting relationships!
Favorite Plant: My top 3 are: Limber Pines, Penstemon, Lilacs
Hobbies: I love to be outdoors. Hiking, camping and snowboarding just to name a few. I also have fun getting crafty with my girlfriends!
Elysa has been a designer with Timberline since 2014. She is a two time National Association of Landscape Professionals award winner for landscape design and installation. In her time here she has emerged as a leader and key player in strategic planning and training processes. In 2017 she was promoted to head of the Residential Design and Installation department. Being a designer at Timberline, Elysa has had the opportunity to work on some unique projects such as the Estate House at the Broadmoor Hotel, The US Senior Open, The Ronald McDonald House at the new Ronald McDonald Children’s Hospital in Colorado Springs. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the mountains with family and dogs.

Favorite way to enjoy my outdoor space: I love gardening with my mom. I have been working in the yard with her and my dad since I can remember. From planting the vegetable garden every year to helping her plant her annual pots. When Spring time comes I love seeing all the plants start growing and popping!
I also love to get outdoors with my dog, whether it is going to the park to throw the ball, hiking in nature or just sitting in the grass in the front yard! She is my world and if she is happy I am happy!
Favorite thing about the green industry: What I love most about working in the green industry is that everyone is in it for the same reasons. We all want to make a difference and create beauty in the landscape. I love how just the right plants in the right place can make all the difference in landscaping! In addition, I love how the green industry was dominated by males at one point…but I feel that the females are starting to make strides!
Favorite Plant: Calla Lily
Hobbies: hiking with my dog, concerts, camping, traveling
Ashley was born and raised in Colorado and grew up playing soccer, softball, and planting flowers. Her love for the outdoors led her to enjoy the tasks that many children avoid…like mowing the lawn. She credits her love for landscaping to her parents. While in high school Ashley began drafting in AutoCAD and decided to further her love for both plants and drafting by earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture at Colorado State University in Fort Collins.
After graduation, she began work at a local nursery to expand her knowledge and love of plants. In January of 2015, Ashley started work within Timberline’s snow removal and maintenance departments. This experience in the field has enabled her a greater understanding of the processes involved in the care and installation of landscapes. She has completed her Landscape Industry Certified Technician designation in ornamental maintenance and softscape installation. Ashley is an award winner for the design and installation on The Broadmoor Estate House.
Paige Mager

Favorite way to enjoy your outdoor space: Most of the time that I’m not at work, I’m out rock climbing or planning a rock climbing trip with my friends.
Favorite thing about the green industry: Landscape design is amazing because it allows me a creative outlet that also forces me to think through infinite different scenarios and issues. I love problem solving and I love to be creative, so it’s absolutely perfect.
Favorite Plant: My personal favorite plant is my cape sundew, Alice, but my favorite landscaping plant is currently walker’s low catmint.
Hobbies: Rock climbing, knitting, and playing Stardew Valley
Paige grew up in upstate New York taking care of the family vegetable garden, doing triathlons, and hanging out on the lake with family and friends. She went to North Carolina State University for a degree in Horticulture and minors in Agroecology and Spanish before finally making her way to Colorado in 2024, where she joined the Timberline Landscaping Team.
Sara Marshall

Favorite way to enjoy my outdoor space: I love to garden. Every year I plan, sow, and plant a vegetable garden that I share with my friends and family. I love watching my garden flower and flourish, it is like a little piece of paradise in my backyard.
Favorite thing about the green industry: My favorite thing about the industry is that there are so many different fields you can be in. From planning to planting and everything in between, we are all working together to make the world a better place, one plant at a time.
Favorite Plant: My ideal indoor plants would have to be my orchids and bonsais. For the outdoor plants I love the fall colors of Maples and the fuzzy, adorable quality of Woolly Thyme.
Hobbies: Backpacking, camping, fishing, gardening, and hanging out with my dogs. I also enjoy anything crafty; knitting, crocheting, quilting, painting, etc.
Sara is a Colorado native. Her love for the outdoors has grown over the years. When she was young you could always find her helping in her grandma’s garden. Now she has a beautiful yard and garden of her own.
Sara has been working at local nurseries for the past 14 years. In 2015 she completed her Colorado Certified Nursery Professional certificate to expand her knowledge of design and plant materials. In 2024 she left the nursery industry for the next chapter of her life. This journey led her to Timberline Landscaping where her creativity and plant knowledge could thrive.

Favorite way to enjoy my outdoor space: My favorite way to enjoy my yard is when I’m working on it and at the end of the day to enjoy my firepit with my family.

Outdoor space: I love playing sports with my son, I also like traveling and seeing different landscapes.
My favorite thing about the green industry: I enjoy showing up to a new jobsite with nothing but plans, tools and materials. I enjoy working hard and installing to completion per plan and enjoying the finish product.
Favorite plant: Lavender. It smells great and is soothing.
Hobbies: I enjoy playing video games, soccer and installing decorative concrete edging on my weekends.
During his early childhood Saul was raised in Mexico, and came to this country when he was 10 years old in the summer of 2002. Saul started working at Timberline Landscaping as a residential construction crew member in his adult life. He has have always been involved in the green industry. He has enjoyed the 8 years of his time he has spent at Timberline Landscaping.
